The beginning of a new year offers a time for reflection…for self-evaluation…for hope…for healing…for opportunity…and far more. Regarding resolutions, mine has been the same for the last decade or so: be as decadent as possible, living as fully as possible, without being too poor or too fat. So far, so good! Happy New Year and may these words amuse you, incite you, and inspire you to live your best year yet.
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings, and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would come his way. Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
(1749 – 1832)
We all have bad days, even those of us lightworkers who do our best to shine brightly as a beacon of light and hope in these challenging times. Sometimes it’s helpful to take a break, take deep breaths, and meditate on a few powerful words. These quotes have helped me get through many a rough day so I could refocus and align with my deeper purpose. I hope they are helpful to you, too!
